Repeat Prescriptions

multicolour_pills If you are on regular medication you will be given a computerised repeat prescription slip each time a prescription is issued.

Repeat prescriptions should be requested by either post (enclosing a stamped addressed envelope), by fax or by placing the request in the box provided in the Foyer at the Surgery.

It is important to state on your request where you would like to collect your prescription from.

Dispensing Services

Patients residing more than one mile from a Chemist are registered as dispensing patients and are able to obtain medication from the Practice Dispensary. The charges for obtaining a prescription are the same as those dispensed via the Chemist.

Dispensing patients can request a repeat prescription by telephoning the Ullesthorpe Surgery on 01455 209286, handling a request at Reception, faxing a request to 01455 286772, placing a request in the letter box at Ullesthorpe Surgery or in the prescription box situated in the Foyer at Broughton Astley Surgery.

Medication Reviews

Patients on repeat medication will be asked to see a Doctor, Nurse Practitioner or Practice Nurse at least once a year to review these regular medications and notification should appear on your repeat slip.

Please ensure that you book an appropriate appointment to avoid unnecessary delays to further prescriptions.

Symbol Error 3With effect from 1st July 2019 Patients will be required to allow 3 working days for repeat prescriptions to be processed.  Patients can order request prescription requests up to 10days in advance of running out of medication.  Patients are responsible for ensuring that they do not leave requests for repeat medication within a time-frame that is unreasonable to expect the Practice to re-authorise.
