Reception

Receptionists provide an important link for patients with the practice and are your initial contact point for general enquiries. They can provide basic information on services and results and direct you to the right person depending on your health issue or query. Receptionists make most of the patient appointments with the GPs and nurses. They also perform other important tasks such as issuing repeat prescriptions and dealing with prescription enquiries, dealing with financial claims, dealing with patient records and carrying out searches and practice audits.

Pharmacist

The Practice Pharmacist is available on Monday to Friday 9am to 11.30am and 2.30pm to 4pm.

Community Midwives

Midwives provide regular services at the practice.

Community Nurses

Telephone 0300 300 7777. The district nurse team provides skilled nursing care to all patients living in the community. Advice, support and practical help can be given on all aspects of nursing at home.

Health Visitors

Telephone 01455 284229. The health visitors based at the surgery are qualified nurses with extended training. They offer guidance and support to assist the family to meet their own individual health needs. They offer a flexible service with child surveillance and promoting individual and family health. They work closely with other members of the practice team. Children are encouraged to attend the child immunisation clinic held each Tuesday morning by the health visitors.
